Having been invited to this site earlier this year by Stan UA3LMR, I have enjoyed reading about your experiences of outdoor QRP.
I still hope to do some outdoor QRP of my own, but poor health prevents me from completing construction of my rig, let alone taking it anywhere.
In the meantime, here are some pages about my own experiences of outdoor QRP. They are short on detail (and my website has been unmaintained for some time!) but they might be of interest.
All these pages involve large, kite-lifted antennas. Tall trees would provide more stable support, but a kite will work well with the right antenna and the right amount of wind.
I would like to do more kite-portable (after improving my antenna design!), but first I must build a rig that is lighter than an IC-706 with 16 D cells!
73 for all your QRP endeavours!
